Reminiscent of either the mid 1970’s or a cheesy western movie, I can remember a time when I was not too fond of fringe. It just wasn’t an element of detail that I thought was cute or cool. As of last season, fringe became a huge trend again and I must admit, I am still getting used to the idea of wearing it. A few things to note when wearing fringe: a little goes a long way, so you definitely don’t want to go overboard with it (i.e. wearing a fringe jacket with a fringe bag is way too much) and make sure the fringe is located on the right pieces (no fringe tee’s please- way too tacky).
If you’re needing a little style inspiration as it relates to fringe, below I’ve compiled a few of my favorite fringed looks. I love a suede jacket with fringe in black or cognac. These boots have just the right amount of fringed detail, as well as these sexy sandals that I’ve been lusting over for spring/summer. My other favorite article of clothing to wear fringe is a midi length pencil skirt a la Olivia Palermo. And in case you’re like me who wants to flirt with just a little fringe to keep up with the trends, try a handbag like this YSL or Moschino.
Have you jumped on the fringe bandwagon? If so, what is your favorite way to wear it?
