Last year, I covered the shows for NYFW and my primary focus was on emerging designers, classic designers and all the latest trends that walked down the runways. But let’s be honest- the real “fashion show” is on the streets of New York (or Paris or Milan) during fashion week. From bloggers to stylists to fashion editors, the street style is a show within itself. It’s where artistic display meets avant garde. Individuality and creativity is key to ensure the attention of the photographers and landing those coveted spots on the internet fashion sites. Even though the weather in New York this past week was a mix of rain and snow, it wasn’t enough to stop the true fashionistas from showing up and showing out.
