Seasonal Smoothies- Delicious & Easy Recipes with Unique Combinations

Now that we are in the midst of winter, my go to drink of choice has been hot cocoa (new post coming soon on how to jazz up this classic winter beverage). But ever since receiving a Nutribullet for Christmas, I have branched out into the world of making smoothies. Not only is it a healthier alternative to soda and juice, but it also allows me to get the recommended serving of fruits and vegetables into my diet (because let’s face it- if I had to consume the amount of fruit and vegetables everyday per dietary recommendations- it just would not happen!)

Lately, my go to smoothie of choice has been a mix of coconut water, spinach, strawberries, banana, and chia seeds. Simple but satisfyingly good. However, to keep things from being boring (which will result in the Nutribullet gathering dust on the counter), I have bookmarked some pretty unique smoothie recipes. All of which include two key ingredients that you would never think would pair so well together. Enjoy!
